SALT LAKE CITY - Scrapping together enough offensive energy was no simple task for the Utah Jazz in their first post-Christmas game.Everything changed in the fourth quarter, when Utah finally found a rhythm and pulled away for an 88-71 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night.Once it came down to the fourth quarter, everybody just wanted to get the game over with, Jazz centre Derrick Favours said. We picked up the energy and picked (up) the intensity. Got enough stops on defence to help the offensive end. Everybody took their time. Everybody touched the ball and made shots.Favours had 17 points, 15 rebounds and five blocked shots to lead Utah. With his team clinging to a three-point lead, Favours converted a three-point play and drove for a dunk on back-to-back possessions. It pushed the Jazz lead to 74-66 with 4:52 remaining. Those two baskets touched off an 18-3 run to seal the win.Trey Burke added 17 points, Gordon Hayward chipped in 15 and Enes Kanter finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Jazz (10-20), who won for the fourth time in their last five games.Tony Wroten scored 20 points and Robert Covington added 17 for the Sixers (4-25), who could not overcome a sluggish offensive performance before halftime. The Jazz outscored Philadelphia 52-30 in the paint and finished with a 20-7 advantage in second-chance points. The Jazz limited the Sixers to just 12-of-40 shooting (30 per cent) from the field before halftime. Michael Carter-Williams particularly struggled, shooting just 1 of 13 in the first two quarters. He finished the game 2 of 20.Its tough, Carter-Williams said. I just need to bounce back from it. I cant dwell on it. Its going to definitely push me to get better — I wont forget moments like this.Favours helped Utah get off to a quick start. He blocked three shots in the first 5 minutes and added three baskets, culminating in a dunk that gave the Jazz a 12-5 lead. Utah pushed its advantage to 23-10 late in the first quarter when Hayward made a pair of baskets and a pair of free throws on three straight possessions. After taking a 44-32 halftime lead, the Jazz let it slip away during a sluggish third quarter start. Utah missed 11 straight shots to open the period. The Sixers wasted no time taking advantage of the prolonged drought - opening the half with a 15-2 spurt.Covington fueled the run with a pair of 3-pointers and then Wroten tied the game with a driving layup. The Sixers finally took a 47-46 lead on a free throw from Jerami Grant with 6:21 left in the quarter. We were down 14 and we found a way to compete and claw our way back on the road, Sixers coach Brett Brown said. We just couldnt sustain it, and its just a really true learning lesson that guys have to understand - especially on this side of the world in the Western Conference.Utah trailed only briefly. The Jazz scored six unanswered points to go back in front 53-47.Philadelphia cut it to 60-59 on a basket from JaKarr Sampson early in the fourth quarter. The Jazz kept the Sixers at arms length. Burke converted a 3-point play just a minute later to keep Utah from falling behind.I wouldnt call it sloppiness, Burke said. I just felt like we didnt hit shots. I didnt think we were sloppy. I just felt like we had a lot of good looks that we didnt make, but our defence made up for it.TIP-INSJazz: The Jazz outscored the Sixers 17-3 in second-chance points in the first half. ... Darrell Green Womens Jersey .com) - The Hatch Attack is back in the Southern Conference. Derrius Guice Jersey . - Mike Magee converted two penalty kicks in a 10-minute span of the first half and the Chicago Fire beat Sporting Kansas City 2-1 on Sunday. The Eastern Conference finals shift to South Beach Saturday night when the Indiana Pacers visit the Miami Heat at American Airlines Arena. The series is tied 1-1, but the biggest question for Game 3 was answered Friday. Paul George, the Pacers best player, is a go for Saturday night. Catch the game on TSN starting at 8:30pm et/5:30pm pt. Indianas All-Star forward suffered a concussion in the fourth quarter of Tuesdays 87-83 loss in Game 2. In a dive for a loose ball, Miamis Dwyane Wade kneed George in the back of the head. George remained face down on the court for several minutes, but stayed in the game. He passed the in-game concussion test and admitted after the game that "he blacked out." He was diagnosed with a concussion following the game and was subjected to the leagues concussion protocol. On Friday night, the team announced that George passed and "barring any unforeseen complications, he will play in Saturdays game at the Miami Heat." "Im going to approach it the best way I can," George said before he was officially cleared. The Pacers, who are 5-0 following a loss this postseason, need George, the teams best player, to perform. Hes tasked with covering LeBron James and is the leading scorer for a team that has trouble scoring. Game 2 was a perfect showcase for what the Heats superstars can still do. James and Wade scored or assisted on the final 33 points for Miami en route to viictory.dddddddddddd. Wade shot an efficient 10-for-16 en route to a team-high 23 points, while James tacked on 22 with seven rebounds, six assists and three blocked shots in the triumph. Norris Cole and Chris Andersen did their part as well, contributing 11 points and 12 rebounds, respectively, off the bench. Miami trailed 73-69 following Georges deep 3-ball at 7:19 of the fourth, but James netted nine straight Miami points during a 13-2 run. Wade then followed James missed layup with a tip-slam, and padded the cushion with a short jumper. The late flurry all but sealed the margin for the Heat. "I needed to do something in the fourth," said James. "I needed to make a few buckets to help us in the fourth quarter and I was able to come through for us." Lance Stephenson scored 25 points to lead Indiana, which failed to build off of its impressive Game 1 win and hold home court advantage. Roy Hibbert had 12 points and 13 rebounds. All five Indiana starters scored double figures for the second straight game while once again James and Wade were the lone Heat starters to crack double digits, but Miamis reserves outscored their counterparts, 20-9. George had 14 points, while George Hill chipped in 13 and David West was held to just 10. The Heat have won all five home games during the playoffs and four in a row against the Pacers as the host. Game 4 will be Monday night in Miami. ' ' '
