The St. Louis Blues have signed centre Paul Stastny to a four-year contract worth an average annual value of $7 million. Stastny spent the first eight years of his career with the Colorado Avalanche. He was making $6.6 million per season over the past five years in Colorado. In 71 games with the Avalanche last season, Stastny scored 25 goals and 35 assists. The 28-year-old centre has 160 goals and 298 assists for 458 points in 538 career games in the NHL.
